MercyAscot is seeking a caring, confident and reliable individual to join our team as Inpatient Receptionist for our Surgical Ward at Mercy Hospital in Epsom
This is job share position with one other receptionist covering weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. You will be rostered on 3 x 5 hour shifts per week (i.e. 15 hours per week). Hours are:
- Weekdays: 3:00pm to 8:30pm
- Saturdays: 7:00am to 12:30pm
Key tasks include:
- greet patients & visitors
- general reception and administrative duties
- account charging
- assisting with patient admissions, transfers and discharges
Our preferred candidate will have:
- previous experience in a frontline customer service/reception role preferably in a healthcare
- excellent computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- a friendly confident telephone manner and ability to engage with people on all levels
